Terry Fong AFA Photography Ltd. A profile in brief
AFA Photography was established in 1994 by Terry Fong as a specialist in Aerial Oblique Photography. AFA Photography initially Photographed Homes & Life Style Properties but moved quickly to include Marine Photography.
Terrys first Property (Aerial Commission) was "Moana Point" a highly successful Subdivision in Whangamata in 1978 for the owner, Farmer/Developer Jim Watt.
Terrys first marine images were first taken seriously with his first SLR camera a "Kodak Retina Reflex" in 1968 whilst on a sailing adventure in the Queen Charlotte Sounds.
Terry Fongs photographic experience is diverse, he has covered Portraiture with tuition & influences from Portrait Photographers like the late Frank Hoffman.
Winston Peters was Photographed by Terry for his first major Political campaign B&W images appeared full page in the "NZ Herald"

Terrys Photography Portfolio includes a big volume on Travel Images from Surfing destinations, Portugal to Carbo San Lucas in Mexico ,The Pacific & Indochina .Images taken at Ansel Adams famed Yosemite Valley to Fisheye views of Europes Cathedrals.
AFA Photography has an Archive of images of Auckland taken from the late 60's To present day material such as Panoramic Sequential Photography of almost every inch of Aucklands Waterfrontage, from Maraetai to Whangaparoa. Aucklands Northshore has been completed 4 times since 1994.
AFA has currently worked on some of the most Historical & Ecological Property projects in NZ. Properties such as "Mataka", "Mountain Landing" & other innovative & exclusive developments.
Although not as active in recent years with the Aerial Photography of Yachts, AFA's commissions still include an occassional Super Yacht & Terry did officially cover this years "NZ Classic Yacht Regatta" in Feb06. This year in Oct will be the 12th year that AFA will have covered the Coastal Classic Yacht race to the Bay of Islands.
Equipment Used for Aerial Photography is mainly Medium format Cameras on Transparency Film.Shooting with up to 3 bodies with varying, fixed focal length lenses. AFA also shoots 35mm Digital & Film(transparency & negative). With Canon "L" series lenses ranging :17mm to 600mm.
